In a dream I was visiting at my mother’s house and was looking around in my old bedroom. I started to explore the closet, looking at my old clothes. My suitcase was on the floor and I recognized the same set of shelves that had always been against the left wall. I looked more closely on the wall by the shelves and saw some miniature garden tools hanging there. I pondered the reason for this as I picked one up and examined it. I noticed that it was green.
There are several common symbols in this dream; my mother’s house is a place in my past, a closet is a place of storage, clothing represents mantles, a suitcase stands for travel, especially in the spirit, the direction toward the left indicates moving toward the spiritual, and tools are gifts.
What I see the Lord saying here is that we have storage rooms in our past that we have not yet tapped into. In these rooms are callings, gifts, mantles, and anointings that were given to us when we were conceived in the mind of God. We have tapped into some of these and are already operating in them, but some have been stored up for an appointed time. It is now the time to open that old door and reach inside to find and bring out what has been stored up for us, for such a time as this.
It is a “now time”, a “kairos” time of activation of our callings, the familiar and the new; a time to realize who we are in Christ and to walk in that mantle of wisdom and understanding. It is time to take up our gifts, our tools, our weapons, and take the promised land which already belongs to us.

Good to reinforce my memory of what you said last Fri. I’m seeing many expressions of creative arts as one way of connecting with people and making opportunities to express my faith. My promised land includes health and loving relationships and offering sanctuary, respite for people bits at a time…and food and shelter and some to share. Enabling that in the natural requires money coming in.. by something I sell or gifts dropped on me. I believe God asks me to work and offer products of my gifts to get money. I want to bless missions work more. I hope to get more clarity on how to do that. Dreams aren’t easy to interpret.
