During my journey through the Holy Land, which was a miracle for me, I saw many contrasts between old and new. There was everything from ancient ruins and small primitive villages to skyscrapers and modern metropolitan cities. I saw dry, barren desert as well as lush Mediterranean vegetation. I went from the lowest sea to the highest mountain. I stood on, and rode by areas where battles have been fought for millennia, and will continue until the return of Messiah.
One of my desires was for the Lord to show me what was in the past in Israel, as well as what is happening now and what will come. I thought it would be more in the arena of the visionary, but it was actually more informational. In this, we were all shown what was, what is, and what is to come.
As I was returning home I asked the Lord about the things some of us had expected on this journey. We were hoping for some pretty radical stuff like visions, encounters and healings, and there were a few examples here and there. This turned out to be more of an informational encounter packed with the realignment of misconceptions.
The Lord reminded me that it’s not always in the wind and fire, but sometimes in the still, small voice by which we are most impacted. I felt responsible to produce something for those who had an interest in my journey. I believe there were spiritual things imparted to us which will unfold in due time according to the Lord’s plan.
Yes, we are chasing after God and we desire the supernatural, but this was an assigned project in which we needed to see, do, and learn certain things, and make certain connections. As our guide told us, we weren’t on a pleasure trip, but on a mission. This trip was very necessary in God’s plan for those of us who were called to go, and we’ll be discovering from now on what was deposited in us, as well as what He gave us to deposit in others. It warms my heart to remember the deposits I made in Israel, from the many prayers and blessings I tucked into the Western Wall, to the music and artwork I gave to individuals.
Besides the flashbacks, dreams and visions I’ve been blessed with since my return, there is a heightened awareness in my heart concerning Israel. I meet strangers and feel an immediate affinity with them when we discover we’ve been there; there is a depth of love for the land and a strong desire to return. I know this to be a spiritual soul tie that is purposed by our Father.
The visions I’ve had are centered in Jerusalem around the Temple Mount. One night during worship I looked and saw Jesus standing with the wind blowing His hair and robes. He was looking to the right and left and pointing to places. I walked up to Him and He focused on me, handing out to me a ball of something that looked translucent. It was about the size of a ping-pong ball and I think it may have been the earth. Then He said, “Come with Me.” He took me by the hand and we flew over what I recognized to be Jerusalem, then out into space past stars and galaxies. We returned to Jerusalem and He danced with me on top of Mt. Moriah. I looked and saw water, and then He baptized me in the Pool of Siloam. I wept as I was able to revisit Jerusalem with my Lord.
Another night when I was worshiping I saw a panoramic view of Jerusalem, centering on the Kidron Valley and Mt. Moriah, where a woman in white was dancing. She was at the edge outside the Temple area, whirling gracefully as her robes fanned out around her. The view zoomed in closer and I became the woman.
Right after that I saw a procession up the steps to the Temple led by priests holding incense. The people behind were holding candles or oil lamps and the smoke was wafting and ascending.
I believe that in these visions, the Lord was again showing me what was, what is, and what is to come, from the worship in ancient times to the intimate times I share with Jesus, and the forever worship in the eternal Yerushalayim.
Even so, come quickly Lord Jesus!
