The Breath of Life

A few nights ago I woke up and felt the Spirit of the Lord speaking to my heart.  Instead of an idea or a topic to expand, this word of encouragement and exhortation seemed to come sentence by sentence.  As I was writing this down I wondered if I was making it up myself, but the Lord assured me that I was not.  Although I am used to hearing others speak this way, I have not been accustomed to hearing the Lord myself in this stylized manner, and I have sometimes been critical of those who speak in what I’ve termed as “prophet-ese”.  I’ve shared this word and the style in which it is written for judgment, and have received varied responses.  I have come to the conclusion that I don’t have to embrace this style as my new way of hearing and speaking a prophetic word, but I may hear Him this way from time to time.  I am grateful for all the ways my Lord speaks to me.  Here is the word in its original form.  Quotation marks are intentionally omitted.

For in these last days, says the Lord, I am doing a new thing.  In a day when people are rushing to and fro looking for answers, you, like Moses, are called out from among them.  You are called to lead them to a higher place of understanding My Glory.  Listen, called one, to the word of the Lord, for I am about to do a new thing in your midst.  Those who are called by My Name will be revealed for Whose they are.  Signs and wonders will follow them wherever they go - miracles of healing and deliverance on a level that has not been heard of before.  What I am about to do will turn the heads of multitudes in the earth.  The times are upon us for the manifestation of the Glory of the Lord.  Do not tarry.  Do not miss the call, for this will be the greatest thing the world has ever seen.

Wake up and arise, for your time is at hand.  I am about to restore all things.  People are going to be amazed.  You think you are prepared, but you have never seen the like of what I’m about to do.  Get ready, for My Glory is rushing in on you.  There will be no escaping it.

The words I’m giving you are heavenly dictation - they are true.  They are not to be discounted or mocked, says the Lord God of Hosts.  What I say will surely come to pass.  He who has ears to hear, let him hear.

My word is Yes and Amen, and as surely as day follows night, I am coming.  Watch for the signs that precede my coming.  Don’t be carried away and deceived by what you see the enemy is doing.  Even as darkness is arising over the earth, the light of My Glory will overtake the darkness.  Have I not told you to take no fear?  I have not forgotten you; you are my shining ones, my chosen ones among the people.  He who has ears to hear, let him hear.  I am calling you out from among the nations to go forth and be a beacon of light to a fallen world.  Go out in peace, go in love, go in joy; go in My victory, for My victory is surely yours, says the Lord.  Unite, unite, unite, says the Lord, and go forth in My Name, for surely you will not fail the task that I have set upon you.  My eye is upon you and I will not lead you astray.

Listen, do you hear Me calling - do you hear My footsteps?  I am even at the door.  This is a call to arms.  Take up your sword and follow Me.  Let My words burn in your heart.  Do not delay; the time is short, for surely I am coming, says the Lord.
