It’s mind boggling to realize that not only do we come into this world with a kind of amnesia, having to gradually learn who we really are, but Jesus arrived the same way.  He gave up His Godhood, giving up all power and identity to be born just like one of us, to be restricted to this dimension we live in.  I compare it to our being restricted to a 2D drawing of a gnat.  Jesus did everything a normal baby does, and He had to learn by revelation, growing in wisdom and understanding to learn who He was, just as we do.  The cool thing is that when He went to the cross, He bought our identity for us, as well as the right to live from a higher dimension even now.

Just for inspiration:  During worship at a gathering I received a vision of a ladder.  It extended upward through the clouds and I was climbing it with only my hands.  I kept ascending faster and faster, wondering what I would see at the end.  The clouds finally parted and I saw a light.  When I reached the light I saw a gate.  As I approached the gate it opened by itself and I entered.  I saw the Tree of Life and a ribbon of river which was beneath me.  I knew this was the River of Life and I stepped into it.  The river whisked me away at a superfast speed, weaving its way across the distance to a structure. I knew that this was the Throne Room where there was an everlasting party going on.  The vision ended here, but the reality remains.

Recently the Lord showed me a vision of the world covered by a cloak of darkness.  It was like looking at the earth from space, and instead of the blue atmosphere, the world was shrouded in black.  Then I began to see pinpoints of light.  I understood that these lights represented all the believers.  The size of the light was determined by the authority wielded by each believer.  I then saw large gatherings of lights where many believers had come together in unity.  I was shown that there is a synergy that occurs with this unity, in which the light shines more brightly when we come together than it would naturally with the joining of the pinpoints of light.  This is supernatural power.

Here’s how some of this stuff works.  Today I put the finishing touches on a love song I wrote to the Lord.  I sat down at the piano and sang through the completed song for the first time, and as I looked up I saw a rainbow on my ceiling.

Yes, it was natural light being refracted from a glass object.  No, it wasn’t a miraculous supernatural epiphany, but I thought God’s timing was pretty cool.  I did receive it as a sign to me that He was pleased, and that as I’m obedient I’m covered by His covenant.

As it says in Rom. 1:20, He does use creation to speak to us.  He will use anything we will pay attention to.  I want my heart to always be directed toward Him.

I believe I have come to the place where I’m more relaxed about what God is doing in my life and in the world, and where I fit into it.  I don’t have to feel so compelled to do something for fear of missing God or being left out, as I have felt  previously.  All I have to do is be obedient and listen, listen, listen.  So far I’ve proved to myself (He already knows) that I will do what He asks, even if it’s uncomfortable.

I may never be prominent or well-known, but if I’m not, then I can accept that it is not my particular assignment.  There are things I seek from the Lord and things I desire in Him that I’ll continue to ask for, but I know that if there are assignments for me to do, He will set it up.

As I was singing in the spirit with a group of believers last night, I saw a picture of a funnel.  All of our sound was being directed into the funnel, refined into a single tone, and then intensified and focused like a laser beam.  This became the sound of Heaven, a beam of power to go wherever the Lord directs it.

For the most part the Body of Christ has been scattered and separated from each other, hands over here, feet over there.  When we learn to put aside our differences and focus on our King and His kingdom the notes of our lives will join together in symphony.  As we sing the song of our Beloved we will become unified into the Bride of Christ with all the power we need to accomplish His will in the earth.

The other day I was declaring the Glory of God as I was praying, and as I was looking toward Heaven I sensed gold dust raining down as manna into my open mouth.  I am reminded of Ps. 81:10, “For it was I, the Lord your God, who rescued you from the land of Egypt.  Open your mouth wide, and I will fill it with good things.”

He is feeding us the manna of His Word, the manna of revelation, and the manna of signs and wonders.  We are to eat of it and to speak it out and declare His Kingdom and His Glory.

Think about this in regard to sowing and reaping with prophetic words.  There are some who receive a word for a person or a situation, and the Lord doesn’t release them to speak the word; they may only intercede.  It may involve someone’s spiritual development, where the timing is crucial.  Those who have received knowledge, discernment, and wisdom, and are obedient in holding the words at the Lord’s request, reap the final reward along with the one who reaps the breakthrough.  A lot of times the harvest of the ripened fruit is much easier than the watering, plowing, and waiting.

There was a time in my life when the enemy taunted me with this phrase, “You’re never going to do anything, have anything, or be anything.”  It used to be pretty depressing until I began to agree with my adversary, only with a modification.  I have come more completely to realize that I indeed cannot do anything, have anything, or be anything of any real and lasting significance, apart from Christ!
